Bundaberg
CQUniversity Bundaberg is located on a peaceful tree-studded 23-hectare site on Bundaberg's southern outskirts, adjacent to the airport, only six kilometres from the city centre. It is close to local shopping facilities and is a modern, purpose built facility. CQUniversity Bundaberg offers small class sizes, with very individually-focussed, high quality educational service provision, across a wide range of university study programs.
The city of Bundaberg, about midway between Rockhampton and Brisbane, marks the southern boundary of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and of the Central Queensland region. The city is about 90 minutes drive from Fraser Island, a World Heritage-listed national park. Bundaberg's population is about 45 000 within a district of about 120,000.
Bundaberg is favoured with the most moderate climate in Australia. The winters are mild and the heat of summer is tempered by cool sea breezes. The city is only 15 km from a pleasant coastal environment with safe sandy beaches, clear water warm enough for swimming year-round and snorkelling or SCUBA diving in coral ecosystems, directly from coastal rocks.
The city is a popular departure point for the coral cays of the Great Barrier Reef having daily rail and bus services on the Brisbane to Cairns route, and daily flights from Brisbane international airport. The city is served by:
